Sports Facilities

With 2 sheets of ice the Civic Center is home to Hockey, Ice Skating, and Curling. It makes a great place for shows and tournaments involving any of these activities. It features a seating capacity of 1600 for sporting events, a concessions stand and clean restrooms.

Swanson Field (baseball and softball)

Swanson Field is a sprawling sports complex on the west edge of Willmar. I consists of 3 softball fields, 2 baseball fields, a soccer practice field, a BMX bike course, 2 tennis courts and walking trail. The main baseball field, Bill Taunton Stadium at Baker Field, has recently been renovated with wonderful spectator seating, concession stand, restroom facilities, and dugouts. It would make a beautiful facility for a baseball tournament.

Willmar Area Lakes

Fishing tournaments are held on area lakes in the summer and winter. Snowmobile races are common in the winter months. The Green Lake Marathon is a very popular and scenic race around Green lake.

Golf Courses

We have more golf courses to choose from than ever and the number of holes keeps expanding. Courses vary in topography and difficulty but pure golf enjoyment is a constant. Call any of the courses for tee times.
