Willmar.com Receives a facelift!
Willmar.com receives a new management team, a fresh start, and a new look all in one go!
Willmar.com will switch over to this new look sometime between now and August 31st. Sill lots of work to do, and lots of ideas to implement, but I'm looking forward to rising to the challenge and working to make Willmar.com an asset to the community.
What all is new you might ask? Well, aside from just about everything i'll hit some of the high points:
Management Team
Willmar.com is now under a new management team. Camidoo!
Camidoo, in a nutshell is:
"... a professional internet strategy and web design company. We specialize in best-in-class website design, multimedia production, online marketing, corporate identity, and print graphics. After many years in the business and witnessing the frustrations of both consumers and designers alike we have come to the conclusion that there is an easy way to produce the results that our clients are looking for."
Camidoo's management team consisting of Penny Kooy and Myself (Chris Lewis), have committed to providing the best service and support that we can muster! We both look forward to working with and for the community!
New Look
As you can see, the site has gone through a rather significant overhaul. We've migrated from a one-off 'custom' built solution, to an open source Content Management Solution or (CMS). This allows us to not have to worry about the nuts and bolts and concentrate more on the content that is provided. Camidoo has selected a proven CMS solution to base the new Willmar.com on. New Features
While not all the 'planned' features are completely implemented, there are still quite a few new features, namely the ability to create an account and leave comments on various forms of content found on the site.
I'll skip going into all the new features and the list of planned features for now, but stick around and see what we actually have planned.
