Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee!
The Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! festival is presented each fall by the Willmar Area Arts Council. This year's festival, September 14th & 15th, celebrates the 10th year of this popular downtown Willmar event. The tradition continues with artist demonstrations, children's tent activities, a juried art exhibition and sale featuring 40 artists, food court, free coffee, and continuous music from the outdoor stage.
The “Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee!” festivities kick off on Friday, September 14 with How to Talk Minnesotan, summer version, at 7:30 pm at the Willmar Education & Arts Center located at 611 5t
Street SW, Willmar, MN, with an encore performance on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm.
How to Talk Minnesotan has become Minnesota's longest running and most successful homegrown musical comedy. Based on Howard Mohr's popular book, "How to Talk Minnesotan," it was adapted for the stage by Howard Mohr with music by Drew Jansen. It opened at the Plymouth Playhouse in January 1997.
Ticket prices are $20 -- reserved seating. Tickets will be available starting August 1. They may be purchased in person at the Willmar Community Education and Recreation office (aka Washington School), 325 Willmar Avenue SW, Willmar, MN 56201, starting August 1, or by phone: (320) 231-8490.
