In your opinion, what makes the Willmar Lakes Area such a great place to live, work, play, learn and do business?

I believe that the Willmar Lakes Area is a great place to work, play, learn and do business because of the partnerships between the public and private sectors. Our community is pro-active; we have good infrastructures in place to support the needs of a growing community. When a community concerns arises people come together to resolve the issue.

We have a large city feeling of business and shopping choices and receive the small hometown feeling of friendly service. If you love the outdoors this is a great place to be, within minutes of my home I have access to many lakes, places to hike, bike and hunt.

Willmar Lakes Area is a culturally diverse area, which provides opportunities to learn, shop and meet new community partners which not only helps us to celebrate our heritage but allows one to learn about new ones as well.

What does community leadership mean to you?

Community leadership means “leading and working for a cause that benefits a community as a whole”.

Where do you see the Willmar Lakes Area in the next ten years?

In the next ten years, I see the Willmar Lakes Area continuing to grow in business, retail and in the health care industries; I also see our community developing and using more alternative energy resources.
